DERZ AQUA (CG2WA) Silicone Joint Sealant

Advantages

It is easy to prepare and apply. The product offers strong resistance to pressure and abrasion. Its waterproof structure prevents water penetration. It has excellent resistance to dirt and cracking. It adheres firmly to the applied surface and provides a smooth finish. It is also resistant to freeze–thaw cycles.

Areas of Use

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It can be used with ceramic, granite, tiles, glass mosaics, marble, and natural stone coverings. It is ideal for wet areas such as swimming pools and water tanks. It is also appropriate for floors exposed to heavy pedestrian traffic and underfloor heating systems.

Application Instructions

DryFİX Derz Aqua grout should be slowly added to 6.00–6.60 liters of water and mixed with a mixer for about 2–3 minutes. After resting for 5 minutes, it should be mixed again for 1–2 minutes. The prepared mixture must be used within 30 minutes. The mortar is applied into the grout joints with a rubber trowel and excess material is removed by scraping. Depending on weather conditions, the surface should be cleaned with a damp sponge after approximately 15–20 minutes without applying excessive pressure.

Warnings and Recommendations

Before application, dust, sawdust, and cement residues between the joints must be cleaned. The joints should be lightly moistened with a sponge before application. Ensure that the tiles were installed at least 24 hours earlier and the tile adhesive has fully hardened. It should not be applied to metal surfaces. Do not add any foreign substances to the mixture.
