Antistatic Epoxy Primer DFC-106
Two-component, solvent-based conductive primer applied before epoxy or polyurethane coatings to discharge static electricity through copper tapes.

Application Areas

DFC-106 Antistatic Epoxy Primer is designed for industrial floors where electrical current poses a risk and grounding of electrical and electronic equipment is required. It is ideal for production facilities, storage areas, and locations with potential explosion or flash hazards. As a conductive epoxy primer, it prevents static electricity buildup, ensuring both safety and operational efficiency. It can also be used as a base layer for antistatic flooring systems, providing strong adhesion and long-lasting durability.

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation:Remove dust, loose particles, grease, and paint residues from the floor. Avoid applying on damp or wet surfaces. Surfaces should be primed with DFC-100 solvent-free epoxy primer. For surfaces with moisture exceeding 10%, use DFC-108 primer for damp surfaces. For repair areas, apply primer first, then putty. After priming, apply Epoxy Antistatic Primer with a roller at 0.150–0.200 kg/m² for uniform coverage.

Mixing:Mix Component A and Component B thoroughly for 3–4 minutes until homogeneous. Use the prepared mixture within 20 minutes. Avoid air bubbles to prevent surface imperfections.

Application Conditions:Concrete compressive strength must be ≥25 N/mm², tensile strength ≥1.5 N/mm². On highly absorbent surfaces, continue applying primer layers until surface saturation is achieved. Even after curing, pressurized moisture or water from the floor can damage the primer and topcoat. Avoid application below 10°C or in excessively humid conditions.

Application Tips:

  • Use cross-direction strokes with a roller for an even finish.
  • Observe overcoat intervals and curing times strictly for optimal performance.
  • Clean all tools with epoxy thinner before the product hardens.

Storage and Safety:Store in cool, dry, and shaded areas. Always wear gloves and safety glasses during application. Shelf life of unopened containers is 1 year.
