DryFiX BPU SEAL 2K is a solvent-free, polyurethane-based professional filler developed for expansion (dilatation) gaps in structures. Thanks to its two-component structure, it offers excellent mechanical resistance and permanent flexibility. Its self-leveling nature provides effortless and smooth application in horizontal joints. Being resistant to jet fuels, oils, and various chemicals, it is the most reliable sealing solution for airports, industrial facilities, and parking lot floors.

Expansion joint sealant is a high-performance insulation and filling material specifically designed for areas where structural movements such as expansion, contraction, and vibration frequently occur. This specialized product offers long-lasting performance by combining superior elasticity with strong mechanical durability, helping to enhance the safety and lifespan of structures.

Thanks to its highly elastic formulation, the sealant maintains its physical integrity within a wide temperature range from -40°C to +86°C. Warnings and Recommendations

During application, all necessary occupational safety precautions should be taken. Flammable and combustible materials must be kept away from the application area, and smoking should be strictly avoided. Adequate ventilation must be ensured in the working environment at all times.

It is recommended to use personal protective equipment such as safety goggles and gloves during application. The product should be stored out of reach of children and must be used only by professional users with sufficient technical knowledge, following the instructions provided in the technical documentation.


Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

The application surface must be clean, dry, and structurally sound. If possible, it should be cleaned using a high-pressure washer to remove oil, grease, fuel residues, paraffin, and other contaminants. Cement residues, loose particles, and old coatings must also be completely removed.

Priming

For absorbent surfaces, the use of a suitable primer is recommended. For hard and smooth surfaces, an appropriate primer should be selected based on the substrate type.

Mixing

The two components should be mixed using a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Once mixed, the material should be applied immediately without delay. At an ambient temperature of 20°C, the pot life of the mixture is approximately 30–45 minutes.

Application

A polyethylene backer rod of appropriate size should be placed into the prepared joint. The width-to-depth ratio should be maintained at 2:1. The sealant is then poured into the joint, ensuring adhesion only to the two opposing side surfaces. Adhesion to the bottom surface must be avoided.

After application, the surface should be smoothed using a suitable spatula, and masking tapes should be carefully removed. The material must be protected from water, rain, and external factors until fully cured. Curing time may vary depending on ambient temperature conditions.


Storage

The product can be stored for at least 12 months in its unopened original packaging, in dry conditions at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C.
