DryFiX LATEX 100 High-Performance Mortar and Concrete Additive

Product Description and Key Advantages

DryFiX LATEX 100 is a high-quality liquid additive specifically formulated to maximize the physical strength and chemical performance of cement-based mixtures in the construction sector. Trusted for improving mortar quality in construction and waterproofing projects, the fundamental features of this product are:

  • Excellent Adhesion and Bonding Power: It establishes a highly strong bond between old building materials and newly poured mortar or concrete. This ensures that the material fully and flawlessly adheres to the applied surface.
  • Waterproofing and High Elasticity: By supporting the structure of the mixture it is added to, it significantly increases water resistance. Through the flexibility (elasticity) and ideal consistency it provides to the system, it ensures long-lasting durability against external factors.
  • Crack Prevention and Dust Control: It definitively prevents the formation of shrinkage cracks that frequently occur during the curing process of cement-based mortars. In screed applications, it maximizes the wear resistance of the surface, completely stopping any potential dusting over time.
  • Workability and Plasticizing Effect: It plasticizes the mortar when added to the mixture. This feature enhances the workability of the material, allowing the mortar to be applied to the surface much more easily, quickly, and smoothly.

Usage and Application Areas

Thanks to its versatile formula, DryFiX LATEX 100 has a wide range of applications in construction and repair processes:

  • Concrete pours, interior/exterior plastering, and floor screed applications,
  • Ceramic adhesives and similar coating applications,
  • All critical areas in concrete repairs where high adhesion and strength are required,
  • Strengthening of structural or superficial repair mortars,
  • Cold joints where old and new concrete meet,
  • All types of cement-based waterproofing systems.

Professional Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation:

All dry surfaces to be treated with DryFiX LATEX 100 must absolutely be moistened with water immediately before starting the application.

2. Preparation of Adhesion Mortar (Bonding Layer):

To create a binding layer, a dry mix of 1 part cement and 2 parts sand is blended together. DryFiX LATEX 100 is then added to this prepared mixture. Mixing is continued carefully until the compound is completely homogeneous and reaches a consistency that can be easily applied to the surface with a brush.

3. Use as a Concrete and Mortar Additive:

In cases where the product will be added directly to a concrete or mortar mixture as an additive; the amount of LATEX 100 to be used must be adjusted to be between 5% and 20% of the total cement weight in that mixture.
