Anti-Slip Solution
DRYFiX Anti-Slip Solution is a transparent and reactive safety technology that maximizes the static and dynamic friction coefficient on glossy surfaces such as ceramic, tile, and porcelain. It does not create an artificial film layer on the surface; it penetrates the mineral structure of the floor at a microscopic level, preserving the aesthetic texture, color, and original shine 100%. By providing uncompromising slip resistance in both wet and dry conditions, it secures your spaces with an invisible protective shield."

Product Description

DryFiX Anti Slip Solution: Reactive Floor Safety and HSE Compliance System

DryFiX Anti Slip Solution is a water-based, transparent, reactive inorganic safety chemical specifically formulated to increase the static and dynamic coefficient of friction (COF / DCOF) on glossy and slippery surfaces containing silica/quartz, such as ceramic, marble, granite, porcelain, quarry tile, enamel, and natural stone.

Unlike ordinary anti-slip tapes, epoxy coatings, or surface varnishes, it does not create any artificial film layer on the floor. It reacts directly with the mineral structure of the surface to create microscopic depressions (micro-pores) that are invisible to the naked eye. When the floor is wet and stepped upon, these micro-pores displace the water, creating a "microscopic suction cup" effect. This provides permanent slip resistance and a high level of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance on both wet and dry floors, without compromising the aesthetic appearance, original color, or gloss of the surface.

Superior Engineering Advantages of the System

  • Invisible Protection (No Film Layer): It leaves no sticky, thick, or synthetic film layer on the surface. Because it operates on a reaction basis rather than as a coating, it absolutely does not suffer from physical deformations such as peeling, blistering, chalking, or yellowing over time due to heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic (pallet trucks, cleaning scrubbers, etc.).
  • Coefficient of Friction (COF) Increase: Following application, it elevates the wet friction coefficient of the floor to the safe threshold values demanded by international HSE safety standards (DIN 51130 / DIN 51097). It protects businesses against potential slip/fall accidents and legal liability risks.
  • Maximum Aesthetic Protection: It does not alter the original texture and shine of luxury floors (5-star hotel lobbies, shopping mall marbles, luxury residential bathrooms); architectural aesthetics are preserved perfectly.
  • Advanced Environmental and Human Health: It is water-based and its VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) values are near zero. It can be applied safely and odorlessly even in enclosed spaces without the need for specialized ventilation.
  • High Chemical and UV Resistance: Once the reaction is complete, the treated floor is fully resistant to industrial floor scrubbing machines, acidic/alkaline cleaning chemicals, chlorinated pool water, and outdoor UV (ultraviolet) rays; it experiences no performance loss.
  • Sustainability and Low Cost: Unlike the highly expensive and time-consuming construction work of breaking up and replacing slippery floors, it is applied in minutes without halting operations. If the friction coefficient drops years later due to natural wear, the product can be reapplied without damaging the existing texture.

Main Application Areas and Surface Suitability

DryFiX Anti Slip Solution is used on all wet and dry floors where the risk of slipping and falling must be minimized:

  • Commercial and Public Areas: Floors with heavy pedestrian traffic in hospitals, schools, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, factories, supermarkets, and gyms.
  • Outdoor and Wet Areas: Terraces, swimming pool decks, shower areas, Turkish baths (hammams), saunas, exterior stair treads, pedestrian ramps, and main building entrances. (Full performance against rain, snow, and frost).
  • Suitable Surfaces: Glazed and unglazed ceramic, porcelain, granite, marble, travertine, mosaic, enamel bathtubs, and concrete.
  • (Warning: It is not suitable for use on wood, acrylic, fiberglass, linoleum, PVC flooring, or surfaces sealed with wax/epoxy, as the micro-pore reaction will not occur on these materials.)

Application Instructions and HSE Procedures

1. Surface Preparation and Mock-up Test

For an effective chemical reaction, the floor must be microscopically clean. The surface must be completely freed from dust, dirt, oil, wax, polyurethane residues, construction debris, and soap scum using industrial surface cleaners recommended by DryFiX, and then left to dry.

Critical Step: Because the reaction time can vary on floors with different mineral structures, a mock-up test must be performed on a small, inconspicuous area before the main application to observe the ideal dwell time and aesthetic result.

2. Application

Apply DryFiX Anti Slip Solution to the cleaned and dried floor using a low-pressure professional sprayer, sponge, or a clean mop/roller. Apply generously and evenly, ensuring no dry spots remain, but avoid excessive puddling.

3. Reaction Time and Observation

Wait for the duration specified on the packaging or determined during the mock-up phase (typically between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the surface type) to allow the solution to react with the mineral structure and form micro-pores. During this time, the solution must absolutely not be allowed to dry on the floor. If the surface absorbs the solution or begins to dry, gently apply more product or agitate the solution with a brush/mop to prevent drying. The development of the anti-slip effect can be tested by sliding a foot across the wet surface (feeling for a braking sensation).

4. Neutralization and Rinsing (Terminating the Process)

Once the desired level of slip resistance is achieved and the reaction time is complete, it is vital to stop the acidic reaction. To terminate the chemical activity on the surface and remove residues, the floor must be washed and thoroughly rinsed with abundant clean, cold water (scrubbing if necessary).

5. Opening to Traffic

The rinsed floor can be opened to pedestrian traffic at full capacity immediately, without requiring any curing time, or as soon as the floor dries (typically within 4-6 hours).
