Super Component SB Plus
DryFiX SB Plus Super Component Premium Waterproofing Coating
The Walkable, UV-Resistant Ultimate Solution for Open Terraces, Wet Areas, and Foundations
DryFiX SB Plus is a high-performance, "Super Component" waterproofing coating developed to provide maximum impermeability and exceptional adhesion in the most water-exposed, high-risk areas of buildings. Unlike traditional waterproofing membranes, it boasts outstanding UV (Ultraviolet) resistance, meaning it will not bake, crack, or age under direct sunlight. Thanks to its special high-friction additives, the finished coating is safely walkable and can be left exposed to light pedestrian traffic on open terraces and flat roofs.
One of its greatest engineering advantages is its "overcoatable" nature. Once applied in wet volumes like bathrooms, kitchens, and toilets, or on exterior terraces, it acts as a flawless load-bearing adhesion bridge, allowing tiles, ceramics, marble, or screed to be laid directly over it. Furthermore, it creates a seamless, joint-free water shield for foundation retaining walls, factory floors, and roofs, completely insuring the structure against corrosion and water ingress.

Professional Application Instructions and Site Procedures
1. Substrate Condition and Site Preparation
The absolute success of any waterproofing system depends entirely on the cleanliness and soundness of the underlying substrate.
- The application surface (terrace, bathroom, foundation wall, etc.) must be strictly dry.
- Dust, dirt, oil, grease, cement laitance, algae, and blistered old coating residues that reduce adhesion to zero must be completely scraped off and removed using mechanical methods.
- To prevent water pooling on the surface, ensure that the correct slope (fall) screed has been cast and that water drains (scuppers) are fully functional.
2. The Adhesion Bridge: Primer Application
- To ensure SB Plus welds itself to the substrate and to bind micro-dust particles, the surface must be primed with DryFiX BINDER 100 primer before application. Once the primer is completely dry, the main waterproofing application can commence.
3. Mixture Integration and Application Dynamics
- DryFiX SB Plus is a ready-to-use, single-component, highly practical material. It must never be thinned with water or any other solvent.
- Before starting the application, open the product bucket and, using a low-speed mixer (300-400 rpm), mix the product for at least 3 minutes to homogenize its polymeric structure without entrapping air bubbles.
- Once mixed, apply SB Plus by thoroughly feeding it into the surface using a waterproofing brush or roller.
- The application must be carried out in at least two coats. To eliminate the risk of pinholes, the second coat must be applied only after the first coat has completely dried (average 4 hours later) and in a perpendicular (cross-hatch) direction to the first coat.
4. Critical Weather Conditions and Storage
- Application must take place when the ambient and substrate temperatures are between +5°C and +35°C.
- Application must strictly be avoided in weather where frost is imminent, in excessively windy conditions, or if rain is expected. The freshly applied coating must be protected from rain, frost, and heavy pedestrian traffic until it achieves its full cure (approximately 24 hours).
- Product buckets (18 kg PE) must be stored in their original unopened packaging in dry, cool storage areas, away from direct sunlight, and protected from freezing.
