Polyurethane Waterproofing Material – Water Block
Applied as a liquid, this single-component polyurethane waterproofing material serves as a highly adhesive, flexible, and long-lasting insulation solution. Engineered specifically to prevent structural water leaks, it bonds flawlessly to diverse surfaces, including concrete, metal, and wood. By forming a seamless and joint-free protective barrier, it definitively stops moisture from penetrating the building envelope. Simultaneously, its remarkable elasticity allows it to effortlessly accommodate structural movements without tearing. Its robust resistance to UV radiation, harsh chemicals, and physical abrasion ensures the insulation remains reliable and durable over time. Thanks to these superior characteristics, polyurethane stands out as the preferred waterproofing choice for critical areas such as roofs, terraces, balconies, bathrooms, and kitchens.

What is Polyurethane Waterproofing Material and How Does It Work?

Applied in a liquid state, this single-component, highly adhesive, flexible, and durable insulation solution is expertly designed to protect structures against water leaks. It adheres flawlessly to diverse substrates such as concrete, wood, and metal. By forming a seamless and joint-free continuous water barrier, it decisively blocks moisture from penetrating the building envelope. While its elastic nature effortlessly accommodates structural movements, its robust resistance against UV radiation, chemicals, and physical abrasion makes it an exceptionally reliable choice for high-risk areas like roofs, terraces, balconies, bathrooms, and kitchens.

What Are the Core Advantages of the Product?

  • Boasts outstanding mechanical properties.
  • Demonstrstrates highly effective resistance against the corrosive effects of chemicals.
  • Remains completely non-toxic once fully cured (dried).
  • Highly efficient in water vapor permeability; the resulting film breathes, preventing moisture accumulation beneath the coating.
  • Provides strong durability against harmful UV rays.
  • Exhibits flawless thermal resistance, ensuring the material never softens. It handles a maximum service temperature of 90°C and can endure immediate thermal shocks up to 200°C.
  • Highly effective against freezing conditions, with the cured film maintaining its elasticity down to -40°C.
  • Should the applied waterproofing layer (Water Block) sustain any physical damage, the affected section can be easily and swiftly repaired.

Where Is It Suitable for Application?

  • Over gypsum and cement panels, as well as ceramic/tile surfaces, provided the appropriate priming process is completed.
  • Within wet volumes like bathrooms and traditional roofing systems.
  • On lightweight roofs constructed from metal or fiber cement.
  • Directly over existing asphalt membranes.
  • As the primary waterproofing membrane in parking garage insulation systems.
  • Safely utilized in stadium grandstands and spectator seating areas.

What Should Be Considered Before and During Application?

The application substrate must possess an absolutely solid structure. The surface compressive strength should be a minimum of 25 N/mm², and the adhesion (pull-off) strength must be at least 1.5 N/mm². The area must be completely cleared of any loose or detached concrete particles, oil, paint residues, and cement laitance that could diminish adhesion performance. The waterproofing material should be applied to the surface in at least two coats using a roller or brush, allowing a waiting period of 6 to 24 hours between coats.

What Safety Warnings and Recommendations Should Be Followed?

  • ATTENTION! The material requires a full 7 days to achieve complete chemical curing.
  • Following applications in enclosed spaces, continuous air circulation must be maintained in the environment.
  • Combustible, flammable, and easily ignitable products must be kept away from the workspace, and smoking is strictly prohibited during the process.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety goggles and gloves, must be worn during application.
  • In the event of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of clean water. Request the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for comprehensive technical details.
  • The product must be stored securely out of children's reach and should only be handled by professional users in strict accordance with technical guidelines.

Storage Conditions and Shelf Life

  • Packaging: 25 kg
  • Color Options: Grey – White
  • Shelf Life and Storage: Up to 12 months from the production date in a dry, moisture-free environment, provided the original packaging remains unopened and undamaged. For partial use, the container lid must be tightly sealed to prevent air exposure. The product must be protected from freezing temperatures and direct sunlight.

What is the Consumption (Coverage) Rate per Square Meter?

  • For the First Coat: 0.75 - 0.9 kg/m²
  • For the Second Coat: 0.75 - 0.9 kg/m²
  • Minimum Total Consumption: 1.5 - 1.8 kg/m²
